A Couple of things to keep in mind for the coming year ...
- Even though legalization of marijuana did not pass on the November ballot in Ohio, don’t put off updating and shoring up your drug free workplace policies – the issue will re-appear with a vengeance in 2016.
- If you use a third party (CRA) to do your background checking, know what you are responsible for as far as compliance with the FCRA and EEOC. Review the Adverse Action process with your CRA and make sure that your background check consent form is in compliance with the FCRA requirements.
